Roy Hahn, Managing Director

Roy Hahn is Marbridge’s CEO. He is a California certified public accountant and was a partner at Arthur Young & Co. (now Ernest & Young LLP) and Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP). Roy led an international team of lawyers and accountants in designing and advising cross-border leveraged leasing transactions for some of the world’s largest institutions and lessees. He served as the Co-Chair of Coopers & Lybrand structured finance committee. 

As the CEO at Marbridge, Roy is responsible for advising/managing NPL portfolios with AUM in excess of USD150 million for international investors, several of which selected Marbridge as their initial investment advisor in the PRC.

Jade Chow, Managing Director

Jade joined Marbridge in 2003. During 2004 – 2008, Marbridge brought three first time foreign investors into China and helped them make their first NPL investments. She sourced and negotiated PRC local partners for all three funds. Her responsibilities included overseeing all facets of the transactions from due diligence and underwriting of target portfolios to deal closing and working with local partners to formulate and execute recovery strategies.

The three funds invested over USD150 million into NPL portfolios in Zhejiang, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hebei and Jilin. For the Jilin portfolio, Jade managed Marbridge’s own recovery team in making collections. She has headed due diligence teams for multiple portfolios, total principal amount in excess of RMB 35 billion.

Prior to joining Marbridge, Jade was an associate director at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Hong Kong office. She was the project manager in China Orient Asset Management Company’s first NPL portfolio sale to foreign investors that transacted in December of 2001. She also headed due diligence teams to conduct sell-side due diligence for China Orient Asset Management Company on portfolios in Guangdong, Shanghai, Nanjing, and Harbin.

 

Raj Mohamad, Head of Business Development

Raj Mohamad has spent his entire career in the financial industry, holding various roles that have honed his expertise. Commencing his journey in risk management in European banking giants like Rabobank and Credit Lyonnais, he subsequently spearheaded business development efforts for Bloomberg across Southeast Asia, before transitioning into the realm of Islamic Finance.

Leveraging his extensive background in conventional banking alongside his profound knowledge of Islamic finance, Raj Mohamad assists businesses, non-profits, and individuals in navigating the intricate landscape of Islamic financing options for investment or fundraising endeavors. He has contributed to Islamic Finance through adjunct lectures in various tertiary institutions in Singapore.
